  • ABG/VBG in 15 minutes
  • CXR - ICU Team Review/Confirm ETT Position
  • Repeat ABG/VBG in 30-60 Minutes if initial is Abnormal (Acidosis, Hypoxemia, Lactate)
  • Mechanical Ventilation Strategy and Order
  • Initiate VAP Prevention Orders
  • Sedation Plan
  • Family/NOK Notified of Intubation/MV
  • Surgical Team Notified of Intubation/MV
  • Consider BAL Culture if Indicated
  • Consider NG/OG Tube Placement and AXR
